With 17 years of teaching experience in primary education, I specialise in helping children aged 7-11 build confidence and skills in English and Maths. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, adapting my teaching to meet a wide variety of individual needs.
My expertise includes preparing students for significant milestones such as the Year 6 SATs and the 11+ exams, as well as supporting student development across all primary year groups. As a former Phase Leader and Head of Curriculum, I have a deep and comprehensive understanding of the core subjects and their stages of development throughout the primary school journey of every student.
I hold a degree and a PGCE in Primary Education, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Creative Teaching and Learning Design.
My philosophy is simple: learning is the window to becoming the person you want to be. I am dedicated to unlocking each child's potential by fostering a love for learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
I love arts and crafts, including sewing, and am so proud to incorporate this to my clubs and home education classes. With a degree in fashion journalism and a diploma in art and design, my love of creative pursuits helps me to inspire young learners to explore their skills and creative vision.
As a current AP tutor (alternate provision), I have the privilege of developing schemes of work to support young learners to enjoy home learning and discover their passions. From cooking to science experiments and history to exploring the local area ... our wonderful part of the world offers so much inspiration!

All tutoring sessions and most clubs take place inside my garden cabin - unless we are out and about! This dedicated learning space is full of games and home-made resources (soon to be available on my website) to help my students thrive and enjoy learning. I promote active learning and a lot of that involves using manipulatives and fun resources - such as playdough!
